The Cobb shows that it’s possible to use bright colours to create an easy-to-wear everyday watch that is very versatile. The Cobb’s dial is sky blue with a sunburst finish, whilst the markers are polished batons filled with Super-LumiNova. Both the subdials are a matte cream colour, matching the rehaut and complimenting the blue dial. Though the 30-minute counter is in the same 12 o’clock position as on the Segrave, the running seconds dial is at 9 o’clock. Directly opposite this is the framed date window, which features a cream date wheel to match the colour of the sub-dials and rehaut.
The tapered hands on the Cobb are painted a glossy navy blue and are filled with cream Super-LumiNova. Alongside these is a polished GMT hand with a glossy blue arrow filled with yellow lume to match the sector on the top subdial. Lastly, there’s the chronograph seconds hand in bright orange, which matches the seconds hand on the 30-minute subdial, and the bottom half of the 25-hour scale, whilst the top half matches the hour and minute hands. When all these elements are brought together, they make for a bright, playful watch that’s still eminently functional and very legible.

Night Light - To guarantee low-light legibility, the Cobb features applied hour batons and hands lumed with grade X1 Super-LumiNova.
Textured Steel - The 41mm steel case has a sporty brushed finish on its top with a polished bezel. Meanwhile, the sides are engraved with a crosshatched ‘harlequin’ pattern with a brushed border that breaks up the side profile. Furthermore, the case is water-resistant to 100m allowing it to be worn almost anywhere without fear.
Swiss Mechanics - The Cobb is powered by the Sellita SW530 M MP a movement. This manually wound calibre has 25 jewels, beats at 4Hz, and has a 62-hour power reserve. As a final touch, the movement is finished to Sellita’s D4 standard, their highest option. This means that the movement is decorated with snailed brushed finishes, a custom-decorated bridge, and blued screws, making it a sight worth seeing as it ticks tirelessly away.
STORY
Named after John Cobb, born in 1899, a British racing motorist who broke the world land speed record in 1939 and then raised it again in 1947 to 394.19 mph. He died in 1952, attempting to break the world water speed record at Loch Ness Scotland in the jet speedboat Crusader at a speed in excess of 200 mph. The boat hit an unexplained wake, was ripped apart and Cobb was killed. Loch Ness Monster believers claimed the wake was caused by a large animal.
