Watches
What sizes are the Farer watch cases?
Farer watch cases differ in size depending on the model. All watch case sizes are in the specification section on every watch product page.
Are Farer watches water-resistant?
Farer watches have several different levels of water resistance. You can find the relevant water resistance of a model on the product page of the website, in the manual, or on the watch’s case back. Below are the various levels of water resistance used on our watches, and the activities they are suitable for.
  • 50m - Suitable for splashes and light swimming on the surface. Not suitable for jumping or diving.
  • 100m - Suitable for swimming and snorkelling. Not suitable for jumping or diving.
  • 200m/300m - Suitable for swimming, snorkelling, jumping and diving.
With all our watches, please check that the crown is correctly pushed in or screwed down before exposing your watch to water. We also strongly advise you against showering with your watch. This is because the heat of the water and the chemicals in soaps can damage the gaskets that keep a watch water-resistant. It is also advisable to rinse a watch in cold fresh water after using it in salt water, as the salt can start to corrode the metal. Lastly, do not operate a chronograph underwater. Doing so can allow water to enter the watch.
How should I clean my Farer watch case?
Gently wipe off the front and back of the watch case using a clean and slightly damp cloth. You can also use a clean, slightly damp toothbrush to remove more stubborn dirt. Dry and polish your watch with the Farer superfine microfibre cloth. Do not use chemicals to clean your watch.
How should I clean the bronze crown?
The signature Farer bronze crown will patinate as it is exposed to the elements. It may also over time develop a soft green tone depending on the acidity of the wearer’s skin. If you wish to return the bronze crown to its original condition, use a pinhead-size blob of metal polish and a fine polishing cloth to gently remove any tarnish. We recommend Peek metal polish.
Straps
HOW DO I CHANGE MY WATCH STRAPS?
All of our straps are fitted with quick-release spring bars, which allows you to easily change the look of your watch in seconds without the use of a tool.
WHAT WRIST SIZES DO FARER WATCH STRAPS FIT?
All our straps fit men's and women's wrist sizes 16cm-23cm. We also offer short and extra-large watch strap sizes.
HOW SHOULD I CLEAN A LEATHER WATCH STRAP?
Clean straps regularly with specially formulated leather care balm. Do not submerge them in water.
HOW SHOULD I CLEAN MY METAL WATCH BRACELET?
Gently wipe the bracelet using a clean and slightly damp cloth. You can also use a clean, slightly damp toothbrush to remove more stubborn dirt. Dry and polish your watch with the Farer superfine microfibre cloth. Do not use chemicals to clean your metal bracelet.
Servicing & Repairs
How often should my watch be serviced?
All component parts are manufactured from the best materials. However, some parts are subject to natural wear. This is why we recommend that you have a maintenance service carried out on your watch every 4 years. Contact Farer for any servicing and maintenance requirements through the Servicing & Repair contact form. Alternatively, you can use a reputable watch technician who has experience with ETA or SELLITA movements. However, servicing and repair by a third party will invalidate your warranty.
Where can I get my Farer watch repaired?
Contact Farer through the Servicing & Repairs contact form for any repair requirements.
