Farer watches are designed and built to last a lifetime. We design every detail of our watches in London, before working with our Swiss manufacturing partners, using the very best materials to handcraft every watch.
The expertise of our design and production is reflected in the accuracy of the measurements, the rigour of testing and the flawless attention to detail at every stage.
Held in a fully polished 316L stainless steel case, our curved, vintage-inspired dials complement the classic, domed sapphire crystal to give the Farer Automatics a refined ‘second look’.
Our signature Farer arrow marque can be seen on the second hand and cast into the iconic solid bronze crown. The crown makes every watch unique as it reacts to the owner's skin, giving it an indivudual patina over time.
The Swiss Made ETA 2824-2 movement, is visible through the sapphire crystal exhibition back of our Automatic watches.
Dial design is the defining detail of a Farer watch.
We pore over every dial in our Hyde Park studio, testing colour and texture combinations until we are totally satisfied with each design. We then enter multiple rounds of prototyping in Switzerland, to ensure that the designs are reproduced exactly in production. The whole dial design process takes six months.
Characterised by the exacting use of colour, complex over-printing techniques and subtle sunray, matte and gloss finishes - all designed to catch the eye in different light conditions. Farer dials are then paired with our signature curved Rhodium-plated syringe hands and a long, sweeping second Farer compass point which traces the outer track of the dial.
Named after the famous vessels which carried some of Britain's greatest explorers around the globe,
our three-hand Automatics feature date window at six and run the ever-reliable ETA 2824-2 movement.
Select your favourite Automatic depending on your preferred combination of dial and hands - from the oyster gloss of the Beagle, to the blue sunray of the Hopewell or the silver sunray of the Endurance.
All of our watches are covered by the Farer 60-month / 5-year movement guarantee. The Automatics are powered by the Swiss ETA 2824-2 movement, whch is renowned for its accuracy and dependability. Of course, reliability means little without the right features, so the 2824-2 employs a self-winding mechanism with ball bearing, self-correcting date, 25 jewels and the Farer engraved, oscillating weight.
