The dials of each watch in the Tonneau collection are designed to showcase a singular colour and texture. These stunning dials are complemented by a variety of contemporary applied numeral designs and a clean baton handset. This allows each model to remain perfectly legible, whilst exploring unusual aesthetics and finishes.

On the wrist, the tonneau case strikes the perfect balance between presence and comfort. It has an all-brushed finish, punctuated by a polished chamfer on each top edge, that tapers away on the watch’s underside. The case itself is rather thin, measuring only 10.6mm thick in total, with the curved segment being just 7.2mm thick. On each case side, you’ll notice a sharp engraved line tracing the edge of the curve. This breaks up the profile of the case and adds another small piece of detailing to the overall design of the watch.

The calibre powering the Tonneau collection is the Sellita SW300-1. This Swiss calibre is one of the brand’s most premium options, and it’s 1mm thinner than the more pedestrian SW200 movement. The SW300 has 25 jewels, a 56-hour power reserve, and a 4Hz beat rate. This is the Elaboré version of the movement, which has been adjusted for accuracy in four positions, and it’s been modified to remove the seconds hand. Also, in a first for Farer, the rotors of each model have been vapour coated to match the dial colour, resulting in a more playful movement decoration than is seen elsewhere.
