Updated for 2022 with sapphire insert bezel along with the date moving to the six o'clock dial position - for improved balance and legibility, in line with the GMT Bezel collection. Inside the case, the power unit has been upgraded with the SELLITA SW330-2 Top Grade GMT movement, delivering a 56-hour power reserve.
A watch that looks good in any time zone, the Crooms II GMT Bezel demonstrates how style and substance can be perfectly balanced with its unique dial colour combined with tool functionality. The unique iridescent deep red sunray finish has been refined to create a change in depth and colour depending on the surrounding light. Raised, highly polished markers infilled in Super-LumiNova frame the dial, held by the 3 and 9 numerals in custom British font ‘LL Brown’ - a development of the original London Underground geometric font designed for clear readability. The external bi-directional GMT bezel has been designed to create a strong visual balance to the overall watch without being overbearing, and clicks into a reassuring position at 24-hour points using the floating rotation ratchet system.

FEATURES
Reliable Mechanics - Powering this GMT is the Sellita SW330-2 automatic movement. This dependable calibre beats at a smooth rate of 28,800 bph (4Hz), contains 25 jewels and has a 56-hour power reserve. What’s more, this is the 'Top Grade' version of the SW330, so it’s been adjusted for accuracy in 5 positions.
Afterglow - To guarantee legibility under all conditions, the watch’s hands and markers have heavy applications of Super-LumiNova.
Turnaround - To track a second time zone the bezel is bidirectional and has a 24-hour scale protected by a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal insert. When used with the coloured GMT hand, the wearer can read the time in another part of the globe.
STORY
The Crooms is named after Crooms Hill, which along with Maze Hill and Charlton Way, is one of the roads that surround Greenwich Park in London. The park is famously home to the Greenwich Observatory which established the Greenwich meridian that was the international standard prime meridian from 1884 to 1974.
It is from the Greenwich meridian that the concept of Greenwich Mean Time originated, which is the idea of using the time as measured at the meridian itself. Before this, the measure of time was highly localised, not just to individual countries, but also to specific regions within them. For example, it wasn’t until 1880 that Greenwich Mean Time was legally adopted throughout the whole of Great Britain.
As the world entered the Jet Age in the 1950’s, the need for watches that displayed multiple time zones dramatically increased. Thus GMT watches established themselves as one of the key complications of modern horology, and took their name from the Greenwich Mean Time that our modern time zones originated from.
