A DIAL OF BEAUTIFUL BLUES
First Launched: 2022
The French Navy dial of Jackson features a complex piqué pattern engraved across the main dial with cut in, dark navy bicompax layout to the sub dials. Mid-blue second needles on the sub-dials contrast with the subtle ice blue lume highlights on the hour and minute hands. A raised outer bezel finished in dark navy with a clear white tachymeter scale (used for measuring speed based on time) boldly frames the dial, completing the study of blues.
Each of the Chrono-Classic dial editions is housed in an elaborate marine-grade steel case, which has a 13.2mm height from the base to its sapphire domed crystal peak. The compact and elegant steel case complements the details in the dial while being highly wearable on the wrist at 39mm in size. The sapphire glass has an inner multi-layer and is anti-reflective. Case details include a bead-blasted surface on the inlay case flanks, with contrasting polished borders. A stainless-steel crown with recessed bronze pastel cap finishes off the exterior styling, flanked by two oblong pushers. The case back is a screw-down type and features a polished and brushed finish, which frames an exhibition sapphire glass, showing off the delicately finished movement within.
The real talking point with the Chrono-Classic collection is the movement. Dubois Dépraz is a name that needs little introduction, working with some of the world's most famous Swiss watch brands. The DD2022 movement features a 43-hour power reserve and has an overall thickness of just 6.9mm, decorated with blue screws and finished with a bespoke bronze coloured cut out turbine rotor. When you study most Chronograph watches, you will notice that the crown is offset from the start stop buttons. Once you have noticed this, it's hard to ignore, and that's why Dubois Dépraz have created an innovative solution that aligns the crown centrally in the casing. Not only does it make 'on wrist' adjustment much easier, but it creates an aesthetically pleasing look to the side of the case.
EX-SHOWROOM - This watch is an ex-showroom sample unit from our archive. As a result, it may have minor marks on the case. It has been carefully inspected and fully tested and comes with our full five-year movement guarantee.

Story
When Chronographs arrived in the Olympics in the early 20th century, they set new precedents for accurate timing. Before the 1912 Olympics, judges of each discipline used their own stopwatches, often supplied by different brands, which led to many inaccuracies in timing results. In 1912, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) introduced an official timekeeper. For the first time, chronographs were used to accurately record times in athletics down to one-hundredth of a second. The Chrono-Classic collection pays tribute to some of the ground-breaking, British Olympic gold medallists from the 1912 games in Stockholm. Named after Arnold Jackson, who took gold in the 1500m in Stockholm, 1912, aged just 21. The race became known as "the greatest race ever run", with Jackson also breaking the Olympic record, having privately entered the tournament after not making the official Great Britain team.
