Updated for 2022 with sapphire insert bezel, black gloss outline markers for improved clarity, and a deeper engraved grid dial for a more distinctive appearance. Inside the case, the power unit has been upgraded with the SELLITA SW330-2 Top Grade GMT movement, delivering a 56-hour power reserve.
Made for modern adventurers, the Maze II GMT Bezel is a fresh take on a classic form - with a dial combining bold shapes and an angular aesthetic to create a distinctive look. The unique sepia white grid engraved dial with raised highly polished black markers in circular and rectangular shapes have been designed for clear readability with the Farer arrow marque clearly marking 12. The external bi-directional, split colour sapphire 24-hour bezel gives a reassuringly solid reaction to being adjusted with the 24-click rotation ratchet system. The bezel thickness in particular has been carefully balanced so as not to overwhelm the watch when on the wrist, making it easier to read while bringing an air of elegance to the overall form.

FEATURES
Reliable Mechanics - Powering this GMT is the Sellita SW330-2 automatic movement. This dependable calibre beats at a smooth rate of 28,800 bph (4Hz), contains 25 jewels and has a 56-hour power reserve. What’s more, this is the 'Top Grade' version of the SW330, so it’s been adjusted for accuracy in 5 positions.
Afterglow - To guarantee legibility under all conditions, the watch’s hands and markers have heavy applications of Super-LumiNova.
Turnaround - To track a second time zone the bezel is bidirectional and has a 24-hour scale protected by a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal insert. When used with the coloured GMT hand, the wearer can read the time in another part of the globe.
STORY
The Maze is named after Maze Hill, which, along with Crooms Hill and Charlton Way, is one of the roads that surround Greenwich Park in London. The park is famously home to the Greenwich Observatory, which established the Greenwich meridian, which was the international standard prime meridian from 1884 to 1974.
It is from the Greenwich meridian that the concept of Greenwich Mean Time originated, which is the idea of using the time as measured at the meridian itself. Before this, the measure of time was highly localised, not just to individual countries, but also to specific regions within them. For example, it wasn’t until 1880 that Greenwich Mean Time was legally adopted throughout the whole of Great Britain.
As the world entered the Jet Age in the 1950’s, the need for watches that displayed multiple time zones dramatically increased. Thus, GMT watches established themselves as one of the key complications of modern horology, and took their name from the Greenwich Mean Time that our modern time zones originated from.
