After the paint has dried, a clear lacquer is then applied to the dial’s surface, and this is then polished to a high gloss finish. Lastly, the dial is printed with the minute track and text, and the luminous numerals are applied. By encasing the textured surface of the dial in a clear lacquer, the pattern and colour take on a unique depth and richness that’s truly captivating. It also means that the text and markers appear to float on top of the dial, which adds yet another dimension to these sophisticated pieces.
