INSET RING
First Launched: 2018
The Lansdell is defined by the ring of British racing green, finished in a fine grooved texture seen when the dial catches the light and split by hour/minute baton markers in Super-LumiNova. The detailed design continues across the central dial with a silver steel Guilloché detail emanating from the central point. The outer track is made up of scarlet red minute markers, five-minute numerals linking to the very outer powder blue blocks, all sat on the spun silver steel main dial.
The inner sub-dial is stepped down from the main dial and continues the silver steel finish. The outer sub-dial markings are combined with the line of scarlet red on the second hand to create a strong contrast to the British racing green. The 37mm collection has all been designed with slim, rounded index hands finished in polished silver steel and inset with Super-LumiNova strips on both hour and minute hands.
NEARLY NEW - This watch is a “nearly new’ unit from our archive. As a result, it may have minor marks on the case. It has been carefully inspected and fully tested and comes with our full five-year movement guarantee.
FEATURES
Sector Dial - The watch features a sector dial design, comprising multiple layers and a sunken seconds sub-dial.
Ultra Slim - The 37mm cushion case sits comfortably on any wrist, with a thickness of just 8.3mm.
Manual Drive - The watch is powered by a Swiss hand-wound ETA 7001 ‘Top Grade’ movement, which can be viewed through a sapphire case back. It has 17 jewels and a power reserve of 42-hours.
STORY
Named after Henry Lansdell, a nineteenth-century British priest in the Church of England. He was also a noted Royal Geographical explorer and author. Born in 1841, after spending holidays in Europe, Lansdell began long and often arduous journeys to little-known parts of Asia. He was the author of a number of books, including Chinese Central Asia: A Ride to Little Tibet. The two volumes recorded part of Lansdell's 5,000-mile journey through Europe and Africa to Asia in search of the Dalai Lama.
